LITURGY OF THE WORD WITH CHILDREN

To help children participate more fully in the Mass, the Liturgy of the Word with Children is offered during the 9:00 am Mass on Sundays.  Children ages 4-6 years are invited to participate.

After the opening prayer at Mass, a team of volunteers bring the children to their own Liturgy of the Word.  The Scriptures are read from an approved text especially for children.  The Psalm and Gospel Acclamation are sung.  The Gospel reflection and discussion helps them to understand what God is saying and how to live the message.  The children profess their faith and offer prayers from their hearts.  The children then return to their families for the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
