Christian Formation (K-5)

Holy Trinity happily offers Christian formation classes for children in grades K-5.  CCD classes meet on Sunday mornings and are broken into classes by grade.  Each class is taught by at least two adult catechists and Holy Trinity’s curriculum follows the mandate of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops for the catechesis of younger people.  CCD classes meet on Sunday mornings during the academic year at 1005 and end just before the 1100 Mass.  All CCD classes are held in the Pastoral Center.

Children preparing for either First Penance and First Holy Communion, or children preparing for initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist) age 7 and older, attend CCD classes in addition to their preparation for the individual Sacraments.

We are happy to accommodate our homeschooling families by providing them with a Catholic curriculum to work through at home, or to allow them to join in our classes on Sunday mornings.  Children in our Diocesan Catholic Schools or taught religious education at home who are preparing for the Sacraments do not need to attend CCD classes, but do attend preparation meetings for those Sacraments.  For more information, please contact Eva Warner in the parish office.
